Busy, busy, busssssy

Do you get a real tree or have a fake one?  Growing up I always had a fake one.  Actually my parents now have one with the lights built onto the branches.  Well Matt didn't want to do that so for the past couple of years we have gone to cut one down.  This year was extra special because it was the beginning of a family tradition.  It was fun to see B-man(Brooks) poke and feel all the trees.  Walking in boots was a new experience too!
Onto the big PARTY..........
Remember back to my cookies?  Well this proves that yes I can bake, but maybe I need to stick to the box mixes.  I know what you are thinking..my poor family what doooo they eat.  Well I am very lucky and "thankful" for my husband who loves to cook.  He would rather work all day and come home and cook then come home to my cooking.  Don't get me wrong I do try.  My job is to plan them out and have everything here at the house.  Ok enough...
My Christmas splurge this year.  I have wanted these ornaments for two years now so I finally broke down and bought them when they had free shipping at Land of Nod.  Loved the colors and style.

Look at my new sled!  Perfect for the backyard with Dad and Morgan.
Everyone who has or had a 1 year old knows that they are more interested in the paper and boxes than the new toys they are getting.  Thanks for all the neat toys that we will have to open and figure out.
Friends came and had fun, well slept through it all.  Next year I can only imagine what trouble Brooks and Owen will get into.
Lastly.....cake and ice cream!  I thought that this would be a bigger mess than it was.  He liked the ice cream more than the cupcake.

Hope you all had a bussssssy and fun holiday weekend.  I can't believe my little boy is one already.

Live in the moment and enjoy every moment you are given with the ones you love the most!

The party was so much fun. Brooks was very entertaining as usual. Can't believe he is a year old already.

Love to Brooks
