Dress up.

Boys can play dress up too........

I didn't take a pic of Brooks' pink toe nails because dad said no........but I thought about it.
What is a mom to do when her son says "me too mom?"

I have potty trained 12 two year olds at once and I can't get my own to even try?
Cold turkey? For one day......my carpet can only take so much!

I thought that I would add a little incentive.
If you know Brooks you know that Thomas the Train is like his superhero right now.
I hung a Gordon train in the bathroom and told him when he goes he can have it.
This morning he sat there waiting..........I couldn't get him off the pot.
What now?

Today I went to the annual rummage sale at a local church.
I have found some really nice toys there in the past.
This year I scored big in a two year olds eyes (and my check book!)
This wooden train set is near perfect.
It only has a few pencil marks where someone wrote on it.
I set this up while he napped and can't wait to see what he says when he gets up.

Two pics just for fun.

1. I hope she isn't calling the dog police because it isn't my fault the weather has been waaaaaay to hot for a walk.

2. Silly boys make me smile!

Another good week has come to an end. Enjoy your weekend!

Wausa/Baseball

Last night I was out with friends from high school.....always a good time!
Big thanks to Em for bring back this unique wine stopper from Italy!!!!!
Put it right to good use.

This week has been a busy week. That is what summer is for I say. The boys and I road tripped it to Wausa. Brooks really enjoyed all the boy time playing trains. This little boy is OBSESSED with Thomas right now. They had a ton of trains. We played trains from morning to night and slept with them.
When we could talk him away from them we did make it to two parks. These are my cousins and my boys in the below pic.

Lastly we headed out to watch Noah ( another cousin) play baseball. It had to be the hottest day of summer or I just can't stand the heat like I use too. Jeremy (another cousin) was there to entertain and play with Brooks. He loves the big boys!

Trying to get a nap today......but the boys never seen to nap at the same time :(

What a happy, joyful, and exciting day (weekend for that matter).
Congrats to Abby and Tim.
Their wedding day turned out PERFECT!
Lots of love, family and friends.

Matt, I and Brooks all got to be a part of the party.
Brooks was so funny......he was so concerned with where he was sitting.
Of course like any 2 1/2 year old they don't sit still for very long.
This all started at rehersal so I was a little skeptical at how it would all unfold in front of a hundred people.
He sat by me during the ceremony but kept asking to go sit by Nama, dad, or Jeremy, Noah, Brennen, Brayton. (they are like one person to him, they come as a package)

He followed me down the isle and kept saying "mom, mom, mom...."
I am glad that he followed me because I couldn't see him and cry.
He was so handsome.

Some sibling time on the party bus.

This is how everyone felt after the weekend.
Exhausted from dancing, laughing, and more dancing.
(someone gave him some cookies for the ride home. he only got through a half)

holiday weekend

One quick minute to reflect on all the fun we have been having.
(both boys are sleeping and there is lots to do).........

These are two of the most adorable feet in my life. Loving looking at them each day and remembering how lucky I am to be their mom.

This is a small view....but it is a panoramic view of the 77 boats at the sand bar over the holiday weekend. Everyone swam, ate, and laughed a lot.

There was special time with Grandma having a "treat."

And while Brooks slept because he was exhausted Brody and I snuggled while watching fire works from the boat. We had to out run the rain home after about 20 min.

Lastly, while Brooks was at school yesterday I scored this adorable mini bean bag game set. He loves to play with the big ones at the lake. It is perfect for him and his little chicken are throw.

Crazy another weekend is upon us again. More sun! More fun! And more memories.

My sister's big day is approaching us quickly.
We recently celebrated her at her bachelorette party.
19 girls + 2 boats + sun and drinks= good time!

When Dad goes to the grocery store he always comes home with more than his list.
This was the first popsicle of the summer.
Cold!!!!

Is this really my kid?
Oh yeah all he does is eat so it would make sense that he is a chubby wubby.
I think he is out eating Brooks at 2 1/2 years old.
Loving the rolls Brody.

big enough for school?

This is the second Wednesday that Brooks has went to "school."
He is going once a week to play with "kids" as he would say.
He needed to get out of the house and I needed to get some food in the house.
It seemed like a good compromise.
This is also where I used to work so I felt comfortable leaving him (for the first time he isn't with a family member or close friend.)

He is there to play, have snacks, eat lunch and nap.

It is so cute to see his little backpack and lunch in his cubbie.

Today he wanted to show me the fish.
(there really are some in there I just missed them in my picture)

And one of the best parts is the outside area and the GOATS.

Today was a little rough. He wasn't so sure about me leaving this time. Tears where flowing and not just Brooks. I know that he is just fine after I leave. I once took crying children from their parents. This time it is my kid and a totally different story. I was strong and walked away and came back to a happy boy who had fun at school. Lets hope for a better day next Weds.

what is on the memory card

Oh the moments that get lost on the memory card.
Here a few:

Brooks is loving opening all the tabs on diapers. He sat here and probably did 20 of them. I think that he thought he was going to get a reaction out of me. The diapers still work just fine so pick away little boy.

Brother time.
That wasn't the face he had when Brody stated to cry.

We no longer have any paint because Brooks has mastered the twist lid. He opened each one and dumped them out. He was suppose to be helping me make banana bread.

More brother time. Brooks talks to Brody and says "Hi, Mr." It is so sweet to see the interactions.

Loves, loves, loves water.

Chilling at the lake, staying cool in the shade, and listening to everyone swim.

Papa and Brooks swimming.
(Morgan too. Yes she has a doggie life jacket on)

Playdates with friends. Well some day they will play together.

Having children you try to capture every moment, take in each day, and be present. These pics help remind you of all those moments had together. They almost bring a tear to my eye. They will always pull at your heart for the love you feel.

Get ready......!......

(this was my dad's catchers mitt from when he was young)

(this was matt's blanket from his childhood)

I love the this last picture. Isn't this how most infants spend their days? These are great times together. Thanks sooooooo very much to Chasing Lilies Photography.
