Getting closer.
The cabinets are in.
The bathroom vanity is installed.
Check out the pics.

*I felt so "GREEN" today.  Remember back a post, I had got a bike for Mother's Day.?.  Today Brooks and I took it to the grocery store.  So I rode my bike and used my canvas bags.  Pretty "GREEN" if you ask me.

Look at these beautiful results.
Hard work paid off.
This is the bar area in the basement.
I am also going to have a table and chairs in this area for snacking, art time, and dinners.
Uncle Tim, thanks so much.
We love it!

Up close of the bar wall.
On the other side of this wall will be a fridge, dishwasher, and cabinets.
You did a great job dad!
Mom thanks for all your muscle work with all the painting that you did too.

Over the weekend we visited a new friend Claire.
She is 6 weeks old.
We were practicing "gentle".

Practicing "gentle" at home.

I guess I spoke too soon.
Or is it boys will be boys.
Because I am sure that baby doll hit the floor after a few minutes.

Very cute stamp

One quick pic before I go.  This little man LOVES the water.  He now dumps water on himself.  Oh and one other thing, I have been waiting for him to clap.  He can now clap.  Yah Brooks!

P.S. Found my tooth brush.  Well Brooks showed
me where he put it.  Not sure if you want to know where................(under the sofa).

Score! Great find Mom!
Going to garage sales with your 17mo old can be a challenge.
But yah got to do what yah got to do to save a few bucks.
(or is it spend some?)

Can you ever have too many blocks?
Now we can share with Grandparents!

Look what I did!
I was pretty excited.
What is under this cool cover?   ( outdoor canvas )
The sandbox in the backyard.

Matt had to burst my bubble.
I took him out at 10 pm to see if it fit and see what he thought.
He asked so will that keep water out?
I said wellllllll, I guess not.  Ahhh what was I thinking?
At least it will keep the animals out.
Rain......what has that ever hurt.?.

Happy garage sale season.

Was it 70 yesterday?  We do not live THAT close to the "windy city".  70's with pants and a hoddie is not my idea of enjoyable.  But to make the most of it we hit up a park.

These little feet had so much fun climbing the slides.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

A side note:  How can two of the same stores located east and west of town have DIFFERENT items?  This happened twice yesterday.  These stores are favs and if I could I would cut them out.  But that would be impossible.  Ahhh.  I guess I am upset how far we live from each side of town.  I better just get over it.  FYI Store to store things may change.  Color and style too.

Good luck. :)

Recap of the past few days:

1.)  Can you see the water dripping off his chin?  He drank bowl after bowl of water.  The bowl was in the water table to play with.

2.)  Same day, second set of clothes.  Gosh we must have been having fun.  Thanks dad for the sand buffet.  (If you can remember back to our FL trip he loved to eat the sand at the beach.)
We now need another nice day to play outside again.  One of these days the weather better get it right.  It is spring and almost summer so it is ok to STAY warm!  Not going to complain when we need  to add an umbrella for some shade.

3.)  Only, well not only, but in WI you can be playing in your backyard and a very cool tractor goes rolling past.

4.)  We have been busy, well really my hubby has been busy painting the basement.  Colors are an ashy blue and a creamy tan.  It is looking more like a room.  Tile is coming this weekend.

5.)  Ahhhh this was the worst start to Mother's day.  I can't cook.  I can't bake.  But I can cut up fruit.  But none of this does me any good when you leave your extra large fruit salad at home 20 minutes away.

Now that you are all caught up.  Hope everyone is having a sunny day.

Look what I found!.........on our way home The Little Gym today we stopped at ONE garage sale.  I picked the right one. You can only do one at a time when you have a 17 month old after all the toys and kids stuff.

Our score for the day was this Pottery Barn Comforter with basketballs on it.  I am slowly working on collecting things for Brooks' "big boy" room.  I am not ready for him to be in a big bed,but I do know that it will happen sometime in the future.

These 50cent trains brought a BIG SMILE to his face.  They where well worth it.

I know that it seems like we had a great day but I hate teething, colds, and not napping days.  This boy was having a hard day.  To top it all off he got a cut too.  I was so thankful that it stopped bleeding so I didn't have to take him in to the doctor.
This picture cost me 10 minutes of rocking him back to sleep. I was just trying to get a shot of the band-aid and he busted me in his room.  Wish me luck because this exhausted boy went to be EARLY!!!!  And I mean EARRRRRRRLY.  Normal is 7 and I know that is early but this was......I am embarrassed to tell you that he was in bed at 5:30.  I hope he makes it to at least 6am.  It broke my heart to see him so upset all day. Tomorrow will be better I promise.  Loving you!

It was a great day outside.  Hope everyone got to enjoy it too :)
