getting our tree

We always get out Christmas tree every year the weekend after Thanksgiving.  Gotta get the most out of it, right?  There is a tree farm here in town that we have gone to for the last couple of years with Abby and Tim.  This year Emery got to cut down her first tree too!

It was so much fun decorating the tree.  Brooks absolutely loved it.  While I put on the lights he proceeded to get each and every ornament out (even thought I said wait ONE minute.  

Boys, ugh)

True 3 year old fashion all the ornaments are on one branch. 

Now all the ornaments are on the top half of the tree because Brody won't leave them alone.

Every time I get the camera out and say Brody can I take your picture he runs to the tree and backs in and the branches are surrounding his head.  Funny boy.  Thanks for the smile Brody.

Over the weekend we celebrated Aunt Becca's bday and a packer win.

So I thought the snow would be done by now.  But the kids are really enjoying it.  

They wanted to come in and I said 5 more minutes!  haha, just kidding.

Today Brooks went sledding down the driveway.  He loved it.  So nice that he can do it all by himself! 

Brody is still getting acquainted with his boots.  Is it ok to laugh when they are crying?

I HATE (love) having Halloween candy around.

We don't anymore since this is the monster it turns my sweet, sweet Brooks into.

We have had some nice falls days.

Yesterday was the first day of Preschool!

Everyone survived drop off:)

Celebrating the big 29 and holding! OMG how did we get this old? Life is perfect right now. Boys are still small and want me to be around. Although I didn't know they could fight so much at such a young age. I know it is all payback for how we fought growing up. Girls are sassy and boys are just physical. Anyways we have been doing some fun stuff lately in prep for school (preschool) starting soon and a schedule. Who likes those? Not me. It has been a fun summer.

Here are some pics of the Middleton Good Neighbor fest. This was probably Brooks' (and Brody's) first time on carnival rides and playing games.

This was the best laugh that day. Brooks was so excited to ride the roller coaster. He kept his head down the whole 8 laps. I could hear him laugh but never looked up. Makes me lol just thinking about it.

Oh a good ice cream treat or two on a hot day sounds perfect.

And why takes baths when you can play outside with shaving cream and the kiddie pool. Sound like a double duty to me!

Brody has done everything so different from Brooks. As he should! But it is funny to see HOW different. Check out the teething pattern. All three top teeth are taking their turns at coming in. The center right however is taking the looooongest to pop.

This is the pic I wanted. Brody lately has been very obsessed with having things in his hands. So much so that he naps with them. Today it was Brooks' tooth brush. Ooooops he caught me.

Since they don't sleep all the time we have to find some new fun things todo.
