So for some fun reading I got a book called 1001 things it means to be a mom from the library. Here are just a few. Enjoy!

1.) Being a mom means thinking that you are the luckiest person in the world.

2.) Being a mom means constantly saying "I love you." Because that is the most important thing a child needs to hear.

3.) Being a mom means feeling too nauseated to do anything but eat a pan of brownies.

4.) Being a mom means dealing with a one (or two in my case) year old who will only eat fruit and goldfish.

5.) Being a mom means trying to be sexy with carrot crusted hair.

6.) Being a mom means building lego castles all afternoon. And knowing exactly how many yellow ones, green ones, red ones, and blue ones there are.

7.) Being a mom means realizing that a misbehaving child is simply tired and hungry.

8.) Being a mom means laying down with a sick kid knowing the risks.

9.) Being a mom means giving a pancake a happy face with whipped cream and choc. chips.

10.) Being a mom means being over protective. It's something genetic.

Thanks for playing along.
Have a great weekend.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Sleeping the day away. Trying to make up for a long night. We are fighting our first ear infection. I hope the meds kick in soon.
It isn't like it is nice out and we are missing anything.

I will let the pics tell you how much fun we had this morning at our little gym show day.
(last day for the semester)
We.........

listen to songs,

rolled backwards,

hung around with friends,

playing is so much work we had to rest,

rolling forward,

jump,

run,

run,

catch bubbles,

smile for the camera,

bang our drums and say good-bye.
(Till next week and it starts all over again. Yeah. No really I mean it. I wouldn't drive 4o min if he did not LOVE every minute of it.

If you know me you may know that I love to watch Oprah. On Monday's show it was about texting and driving.......the numbers where sooooo scary. It is like drinking and driving. Your reaction time is greatly affected. This is true even being on the phone. I know that it is unrealistic to think that you aren't going to take a call here and there. However it sure puts a value to that call when you are talking about your life or your kids or someone else's. This is something that I have tried really hard not to do and encourage my husband not to as well. These accidents are preventable. Sorry this was so heavy. Off to play tomorrow at a new indoor facility. Hopefully it will allow a little boy to burn off some energy. Promise to share some smiling pics later.

I got my "boat".

Ready, set, go!!!!

Not so sure about the sledding. So we tried the slide.
Thanks Aunt Abby for playing with me while mom took pics.
"Fun Abby" as Brooks says.
I guess he does have some part of me and enjoys the summer sports better.

Enjoy the heat wave we are going to have for the next week.

A tour of the BIG BOY room..........
Here is where he lays his head for naps and at night.
(I will just skip over the battles that we have had :) )
Side note I hate how ugly all the bed rails are.

Quote is all done.
Thanks to Abby and Tim for the sports decor for Brooks' bday.

Books, Toys, Shoes, Socks, and Hats area.
So he can go and get them himself!!!
Yay to independence.

Every boy need a pendent with their name in it.

Love how the stripes turned out.
Matt did a great job!

"Thats it" as Brooks would say.

Mom what are we doing!!!???!!!

Here is our first time trying out ice skates.
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the support.

Brooks wasn't enjoying it, so everyone else took a few laps around trying to stay on their feet.
No one knew how to stop with out running into the boards. (except Luc who played hockey)

Tim needed Abby for stability. They where cute helping each other.

Thanks Uncle Luc for the laps around the ice in your arms.

We will try again another time. Thanks everyone for coming a long.

An early Christmas gift.......we found out that Brooks is going to have a little Brother to grow up with! I tried to go into it with an open mind but how can you not think that ok you have one boy and now you will have one girl? Well I think that we all knew in the back of our minds that my side of the family doesn't get a girl that easy. It has been 26 years since a baby girl has been born into my side of the family. This little one will be the 14th boy in a row. He will also be the 4th one born within a years time. Now top those stats!.............

The top pic is of a foot.
And the bottom one you can see the side profile, a rib cage, and an arm sticking up.

This one you can see the arm and the hand.
The had is near the mouth.

I couldn't ask for anything more right now. These two boys are going to have sooooo much fun growing up together. The thought makes my heart melt.

Hope you all have a great holiday and see you in the New Year!
